The winning team and the First Give judges
Riverside School Sixth Formers win £1000 for their chosen charity!
The Riverside School First Give Final took place on 13th December 2017. Each team was competing to raise £1000 for their chosen charity and the presentations delivered during the evening were fantastic. This made the decision for the judging panel very difficult but the group representing Richard House Children’s Hospice were victorious on the night. Richard House Children’s Hospice supports children and their families in East London to lead as positive and happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. This hospice will now receive £1000 on behalf of First Give and the year 12s.
All the year 12s have taken part in First Give this year and they have gained valuable presenting and team-working skills whilst completing the charity programme. The winning team will now compete in the Southern Consortium final where they will compete for a further £500 for their charity and the chance to qualify for the national competition.
The winning team included; Mohamed Bouazza, Timothy Ogunesan, Maysaah Suleiman, Sarah Malamo, Anisa Sharmin and Faizah Mohammed. Thank you to James Barker, Barking and Dagenham fire station manager for helping in the judging process.
